The Storm – Storyboards

In February-April 2009 I was employed primarily as a Digital Matte Painter, but also Storyboard Artist and Concept Artist at LLP Digital, Inc. working on The Storm. The Storm was a two-part broadcast feature about a weather manipulation weapon, the people who want it, the people who want to stop it, and the consequences of its misuse. It premiered Sunday, July 26 and Sunday, August 2 on NBC.

I contributed storyboards for the VFX sequences requiring the most organization and interaction between Production and Post. Represented here are two sets of storyboards, each representing only the VFX, but not any separate character dialogue or interaction. The first storyboard involves an ambulance’s escape from an oncoming twister, and the next three concern the weather weapon’s attack through a sand storm on a group of Afghani insurgents.
